Screen enclosures

Lanai and patio screen enclosures in Sarasota and Manatee counties

Shore Home screens in lanais and patios for homes in Sarasota and Manatee counties. We can screen the sides of an existing covered lanai, or build a full enclosure with a screen roof over an open patio. It turns a patio into an outdoor room for dining, an outdoor kitchen or a place to sit out of the bugs.

What we build

  • Screening an existing covered lanai
  • Full patio enclosures with a screen roof
  • Enclosures around outdoor kitchens
  • Doors, kick panels and pet screen
  • Engineering, permit and inspections

Two kinds of lanai enclosure

Screening a covered lanai. If your lanai already has a roof, we enclose the open sides with framed screen panels and a door. This is often a smaller, faster job.

Full patio enclosure. For an open patio, we build a free-standing frame with a screen roof, the same way we build a pool cage, sized to the patio.

Outdoor living inside the screen

A screened lanai is a natural home for an outdoor kitchen. The photo above shows one of ours: a stone kitchen island with a granite top built inside a screened patio.

About our reviews

Lanai enclosures: common questions

Can you screen in my existing covered lanai?

In most cases, yes. If the lanai already has a solid roof, we frame and screen the open sides and add a door. We check the existing roof, beams and slab first to make sure the enclosure can attach properly.

Can an outdoor kitchen go inside a screen enclosure?

Yes, and it is a common setup here. Grills need safe clearance from screen and framing and good airflow, and covered cooking areas may need a vent hood. We plan the kitchen and the enclosure together so the layout and ventilation work.
